Frictional connection resolves assembly problem
These quick clamping units from VMA not only save space, but are self-centering, easy to assemble, and suitable for high levels of power transmission.
VMA quick clamping units are secured using a single shouldered screw and are capable of transmitting up to 1000 Nm. They can be supplied in two standard versions. The retrofittable quick clamping units (shouldered screw with grooves) can be installed in the case of worn-out feather key grooves. They are used to replace positive shaft-hub connections with frictional ones. The version with the hexagon nut features an additional spanner flat (for support). Both versions are secured with the aid of a single tool. This enables radial assembly even when installation conditions are cramped. (ud)
